Hello my name is Willie Ann Thompson, most people call me Ann. I am retired, I love being with family and friends, and I love cooking. I hope you will come aboard and join my family and I to learn some old fashioned cooking. These recipes are what I've learned from my mother and they hold a special place in my heart. I am excited to get to share them with you!

How To Cook Green Onions And Scrambled Eggs
Interesting tuna salad. Hope the church enjoy.
Look yum!
Love this vegan version!! I get dried ones 🫘 & bring to a boil on the stove for a min then let sit for 1 hr. I saute some onion, celery, garlic with some bacon drippings & then add Lima beans & broth or water & cook for 90 mins or so. So good 😋😋
I have plenty in my deep freezer but have never tried them. WhT do crowder peas taste like?
Hey Girl, how have you been?
These look so wonderful. I can’t tell if they’re the large or small.
Gahdamn you were searching for that knife 😅
Thank you!
😂😂😂😂😂
Way to much liquid
Too much for you, but remember, this is mine.
Yummy! I know that’s delicious!😋
Thank you so much, Ruthia!
Wow!!! Love this!! Will have to make it soon!! Thanks for sharing you recipes!!!
You are so welcome!
Greetings mom! Thx for sharing, but this yankee gal is a bit confused. I was “force fed” limas a a child😂 i’m almost positive they came from a can and they were green……. I never ate them as an adult, but I have lived in Florida now since 2007 . So I hear alot about limas… I always see them dried in the bag but I see that yours are green, so are they canned? Clueless
Thank you for your comment. They are frozen.
Looks delicious definitely will try thank you
You are so welcome, Christine!

@@georgiacookingforthesoul Thank you honey….I am in Ontario, Canada so no chance but we can all wish, right? All kidding, but you would be an awesome neighbour….Keep showing us your delish recipes….I made your Turkey in Gravy with added veggies and it came out so good, my husband ate it happily as did I….Will keep your recipe in my treasured tried and true! Blessings of Love Gina….
@carmelahowcroft2163 Thank you so much for trying the recipe. You are right you are too far away to come for dinner, but it did sound good.
Looks good! 😊👍
Thank you so much Dave!
Video too long. Lots of unnecessary parts, like cleaning sink could have been edited out
I don't want to hear all of that. The purpose of you watching the video is to get ideas and skills in cooking. You could always fast forward to the part you want to see and keep your mouth shut because you can't change anything. Thank you!
HOW MANY ONIONS DID YOU USE ?
I think it was 7 or 8 onions, Daniel.
SO YOU JUST BLEND THE ONION 🧅 AND CELERY IN A BLENDER?
Yes, that's what I did. I don't like to crunch on raw vegetables, and I just guess no one else does either.
THANK YOU I REALLY NEEDED THIS VIDEO 😊
You are so welcome! I'm glad I could help you.
Interesting take on tuna salad. I add egg to potato salad, but I never thought to add it to tuna. Something to try in the future!
Yes, darling, it tastes so good. That's the only way I have eaten it for years.
Looks delicious
Thank you so much, Willa!
Looks tasty.
They were delicious.
Yum ❤
Thank you so much!
Looks delicious
Thank you so much!
Okay, thanks! I just figured if I put the questions in a couple of times, I would get aswers sooner. But, you are goid at answering. My apology. Thanks! Eddie Hodges Phila., PA
I'm glad it was helpful!
Do you add milk in your sweet potato bread? EH
No milk in my potato bread. I add milk in my potato pies.
Do you put milk in your sweet potato bread?? Eddie Hodges
No, milk in my potato bread. I put milk in my potato pies.
Where's the cheese?
You didn't see me add the cheese it's in there.
Yum! Looks delicious!
Thank you so much!
Looks delicious 😋❤
Thank you so much, Ruthia!

Thank you so much Deborah, yes they enjoyed it.
Beautiful looking salad 🥗
Thank you so much, Gwendolyn!
Thank you, Ms. Georgia, for having this channel, it can help those that want to learn
That is the purpose of my channel, Angela, to help those who are willing to learn.
Okay. It must be from my area Sandersville (Wasington County, GA) specifically. Or?, just not as popular in your atea. Eddie Hodges
Thank you so much!
You are a great cook. I know your foods are delicious. However, please take no offense. But eating that food on your shows with a plastic fork or any utensils just interfers. That's my opinion. It looks better for the show using a regular metal fork, spoon, etc. It's like painting over a beautiful dish. I don'nt mean any harm. Even when I bring home takeout food that tastes good. I enjoy it better with my own metal utencils from my kitchen. What do you think? Remember. Please take no offense. Eddie Hodges Phila., PA
You are right, I use regular utensils now and have been using this for years.
Awesome! I always loved fried Mullet growing up in Sandersville, GA. There was another fish we ate a lot of at that time, 1960s and 1970s. I already have Mullets to fry today. Mullet and Pirgies. Can you do hushpuppies sometime? Eddie Hodges Phila., PA
Have a video up already for hush puppies. Just pull up the channel and search for hush puppies.
Yummy Yummy
Thank you so much, Peggy!
"Wow this Blackberry Cobbler looks sooo with the ice cream over it and I just got finished cooking your recipe for the smothered chicken and it turned out good!!!". TFS!!!
You are so welcome Tina, the blackberry cobbler was delicious. I am glad the Smothered Chicken turned out well.
My mom always steamed her okra on top of her greens whole and at the last few minutes of boiling. Who else have heard of that way? Eddie Hodges
That's the way I did these greens. Only differently is my okras is cut up.
Okay. Cool! EH
You did not answer my last question. Have you ever heard of or done your greens like my mom and others in Sandersville do? They boil their greens first as you do. Then finish chopping tgem more. Then they fry/sautee them in grease/meat fat oil like fried meat grease?
I do not know how to cook them that way.
Looks good!!! 😊
Thank you so much, Dave!
She taught me how to cook corn 2024 preciate that auntie 😂💯💪🏾
You are so welcome, Baby! I appreciate you.
As I asked before: Have you ever done your greens as my mom did? She would boil them as usual. They can be eaten as is. However, she would fry them for the finished product. The frying is more like sauteeing. Mostly in fried meat grease. Old school. Other people did that in my area also. Boiled, then fried/ grease sauteed. Have you ever heard of cooking greens that way? Edfie Hodges
Mmy momma have cooked her greens that way before. But no, l have not that's a little too old School for me.
But they just taste better that way. The frying gives them extra taste and enhancement. I think most of your style and recipes are Old School. That's why we love you. Eddie Hodges Phila., PA
Have you ever heard of cooking your collard greens like my mother fmdid? She would boil them as you do. Then she would fry them afterwards. ????? Eddie Hodges
How many times you are going to ask me the same question. I have answered you with the answer NO! I haven't cooked them that way.
You did a great job.Thank you Auntie
You are so welcome, Baby! Thank You!
what were the ingredients other than oil and sugar?
That's all besides the main ingredient your seasoned meat and the better the meat the better the greens tastes
My grandmother made it like that, sure do miss that good southern cooking. Bless you and be well and thank you. 😁
Thank you so much, I can imagine how much you miss her.
Looks yummy, as always! ❤
Thank you so much, Nan!
Good stuff. Thanks Ann
You are so welcome, Calvin!
Delicious looking dish ❤
Thank you so much!
